# What happens if family members don’t send in their samples for the duo/trio analysis?

## Testing will proceed without the missing family sample(s) and test codes will be adjusted to correspond with the samples received.

If familial samples are not received within three weeks from receipt of the proband sample, testing will proceed without the missing family sample(s). Test codes will be adjusted to correspond with the samples received, which could impact billing.
